Meet the Management Team Behind CDS

Founded out of a passion for cables and connectivity, CDS was built to fill a gap in the market for full-service, tailored solutions. Today, our team is focused on building a legacy of excellence that can be passed on to future generations.

Ross founded CDS in 1999, bringing a wealth of experience from his early days as an electrician in South Africa’s cable manufacturing sector. He remains deeply involved in all aspects of the business, offering hands-on support and rapid decision-making to meet customer needs. Ross thrives on engineering solutions from scratch and values ethics and principles above profit—an approach that benefits both customers and the CDS team. Known for saying “we’re the able in cable,” Ross enjoys spending time with his family and supporting charitable causes when he’s not at work.

Ross brings decades of cable industry experience to CDS, having joined the company after a long tenure with Pirelli (Prysmian) Cables in Australia and New Zealand. He supports the business across all areas and values the close collaboration with customers and suppliers to achieve successful outcomes. Ross is proud of his role in CDS’s diversification and growth, and his earlier contributions as a Country Manager with Pirelli Cables New Zealand. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening and dancing Argentine Tango.

With over two decades of experience in the cable industry, Paul plays a pivotal role in sales, manufacturing, and R&D at CDS. He’s passionate about servicing customers and takes pride in the positive feedback received for product quality and service. One of his proudest achievements is supplying products nationally for a major telecommunications company. Paul enjoys factory visits, and the relationships built through them. Outside of work, he values time spent with his family.

Edan brings a dynamic background in energy, renewables, and marketing to CDS. He oversees sales strategy, customer acquisition, and creative marketing initiatives. Edan enjoys working with a knowledgeable team and values CDS’s agility in adapting to market changes. Outside of work, you’ll find him practicing his golf swing—or doing whatever his wife has planned for the day.
